I met Willie while I was a senior at Torrance High School. He was a sophomore. His older brother, Clint, was in my class. The two of them had transferred in from nearby Carson High School. Willie and I became pretty good friends, but we lost touch after I graduated. His death fell on what would have been my friend's (Lisa Michelle Sandoval) 17th birthday. Cause of death: freak accident following a minor motor vehicle accident.
