Mrs. Shank had been in failing health three years and had lived at the nursing home since August.
She was born April 17, 1898, at Dale Enterprise of the late Charles A. and Mollie Garber Heatwole.
Mrs. Shank was a member of Weavers Mennonite Church.
On Feb. 28, 1917, she married Dan G. Shank, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Evelyn Heatwole and Norma Deputy, both of Rt. 5, Harrisonburg, and Mrs. Mark Showalter of Broadway; two sons, Robert F. Shank of Rt. 4, Harrisonburg and Owin [Orvin] C. Shank of Richmond; a half sister, Mrs. Daniel Myers of Harrisonburg; a half brother, Warren P. Heatwole of Harrisonburg; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a step-granddaughter.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Weavers Mennonite Church by the Revs. James Stauffer, Gerald Martin and A. T. Rollins. Burial will be in Weavers Cemetery.
The body is at the McMullen Bridgewater Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Virginia, Mennonite Home, 1301 Virginia Ave., Harrisonburg.
