The funeral services for John W Blanford were held yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the undertaking parlors of the C. L. Torbett on First Avenue. The services were conducted by teh Rev. S. Alston Wragg, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment following in Linwood cemetery. The following were pallbearers: V. J. Pekor, M. H. Hardiner, S. M Wellborn, Frank U Garrard, Banks Yonge and L. W. McPherson.
Mr. Blanford, an uncle of Dr. W. H. Blanford, city physician, was formerly a justice of the peace of Muscogee county, and was well known throughout this section of the state, and has made hundreds of friends in the city, who regret his death deeply.
Death came to Mr. Blanford Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, at this home in Wynnton, after a long illness. Surviving, besides Dr. Blanford, are his widow, three children and one sister.
