Born in Fayetteville, NC, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Patterson Brown.
Annie retired in 1989 as a machine operator following 27 years of employment with the J.L. Clark Company.
She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ where she sang in the choir and served on the usher board.
Annie was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Among her hobbies were playing the organ, reading her Bible and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Two sons survive her: Gilbert L. Caldwell, of Renton, WA; Vernon N. Caldwell, of Lancaster; two daughters: Brenda A. Caldwell-Lattisaw, of Lancaster; Cynthia A. Clark, wife of Kent, of Inverness, FL; five grandchildren: Christopher, Brandon, Rodney, Jr., Keith, Lacey; three great-grandchildren; a brother: Rev. Nathaniel Brown, husband of Pecolia, of Fayetteville, NC; three sisters: Bessie Simpson, of Killeen, TX; Marie Hector, wife of Marco, of Lancaster and Doris Rogers, wife of Bobby, of Fayetteville, NC. Annie was preceded in death by a great-grandson and nine siblings.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Annie's Life Celebration viewing at the Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff, Inc., 234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, on Thursday from 9-11 AM.
