Hulda M. Boden, 108, Prairie City, formerly of Bushnell, died at 3:09 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at McDonough District Hospital.
She was born Nov. 6, 1897, in Fulton County, the daughter of Walter and Maude (Morey) Kepple. She married Bryan Boden, Jan. 22, 1917, in Macomb. He preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1966.
She is survived by two sons, Harrison Boden, Bushnell, and Frank (Minnie) Boden, Canton; one daughter, Peggy (Tom) Norris, Bushnell; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Eleanor Aten and Melba Howard; one son, Mervin; two sisters; and four brothers.
She retired from Ready Foods, Bushnell in 1960. She had formerly worked at Stock Yards Inn Cafe and Heron Shelter Care in Bushnell. Hobbies include crocheting. She crocheted afghans for most all family members. She was grand marshall of the Bushnell Town and Country Festival in 2000.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005 at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m.
Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Bushnell Rescue Squad, Bushnell Recreation Center or the Bushnell Methodist Church.
