Suggested edit: The late Walter S. Boyd of Burlington who died October 6 was a former Franklin County man. He lived here about ten years ago and three daughters are now in Ottawa.
Mr. Boyd is remembered by many Ottawans. He was born December 7, 1847, in Floyd County, Va., and was married to Susan A. Earls January 13, 1876.
The following children survive. George E. and Bennie H. Boyd and Mrs. Laura Steele of Burlington, Mrs. Nettie Jamison of Beardtown, Ill., who is now in Ottawa and Mrs. Lillie Merkle and Mrs. India Woodruff of Ottawa.
The funeral was held last Thursday at Burlington with the Rev. C. L. Fester in charge.
