Roscoe was son of Earl and Mary Bourn Whipple

First Roscoe married Lena Charlotte Behrens on 11 Apr 1931 in Chicago Illinois Lena was born May 8,1908 and died 19 Jan 2009 They had two children together Charley Lee Whipple and Mary Ann Whipple Wasserman.

Second Roscoe married Leah Bean at Perry Grove, Arkansas on 9 July 1937.

Roscoe and Leah lived and farmed in the Braddyville, Iowa and Clearmont Missouri area until 1950 when he purchased a Blacksmith shop in Braddyville, Iowa. They continued to make their home there after his retirement.

Clarinda Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services for Roscoe 'Red' Whipple was on Thursday afternoon the 6th of January at the First Christian Church in Braddyville. Rev. John Shipley officiated and interment was in the Braddyville Cemetery.
