Leah the daughter of Mr & Mrs William Bean.

Leah moved with her parents to Oklahoma at the age of nine.

Leah married to Roscoe 'Red' Purdew Whipple at Perry Grove, Arkansas on 9 July 1937.

Roscoe and Leah lived and farmed in the Braddyville, Iowa and Clearmont Missouri area until 1950 when he purchased a Blacksmith shop in Braddyville, Iowa. They continued to make their home there after his retirement.

Leah was a member of the Christian Church in Braddyville, Iowa.

Leah Bean Whipple and her husband had vacationed since October with son in Jacksonville, Florida and a daughter in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were returning home when she became ill.died Friday morning at 9:30 am at St Joseph Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, where she had been hospitalized for five days.
