Infant son of Smithfield ship captain was originally buried not far from James River Bridge, 3' x 5' marble grave ledger, carved with a cherub marked his grave. Inscription: "Here lies the Body of John Dana Blaney, who departed this Life the 15th May 1796. Aged 2 Months" Two hundred years later grave moved to St. Luke's (dates to about 1632) because of development of Eagle Harbor community. "It was pretty obvious that this was a well-to-do family," said Robert J. Little III, funeral director.
