David Clancy, an old and worthy citizen of this county, died at his residence two miles northeast of Edina on Saturday evening last, in the 70th year of his age. Mr. Clancy removed from Ohio to this county in the year 1857, since which time he has been a resident of this county — a good citizen, a kind neighbor and indulgent husband and parent.

Death of an Old Citizen.
It is our painful duty this week to announce the death of an old and respected citizen of this county, David Clancy, father of Judge Wm. Clancy of this city. The deceased was born in the county of Cork, Ireland, on the 9th day of January, 1809. He emigrated to America with his father Jeremiah Clancy, in the year 1830, spent his time in this country on public works in the states of New York, Pensylvania (sic) and Ohio, until the year 1851, when he settled on a farm in Ohio. In 1857 he sold his farm and moved to this county, and located on the same farm on which he died. Mr. C. leaves a widow four sons and one daughter, and many friends to mourn his death. He always enjoyed good health, and at the time of his death was in his 70th year.
