George moved his family to Greeneville, Tennessee, and bought 158 acres on October 2, 1804. He lived along the Knoxville Road just outside of Greeneville and across the road from him was the Nicholas Trobaugh family, living on 249 acres. On December 25, 1805, his daughter Sarah wed Nicholas' son Henry. George's son George jr. wed Nicholas' daughter Margaret on August 18, 1807. On November 28, 1810, George sold his land and moved to Harrison County, Indiana. In 1811 they went to Indiana via Knoxville and Nashville, Tennessee then to Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Elizabethtown. They crossed the Ohio River at West Point, Kentucky, and continued to Corydon, Indiana. George and family were living in Corydon when he died and it is believed he was buried in the only known cemetery in Corydon that existed at that time.
