Arthur Holaday Died Mon. Aug. 30
The community of Greenfield felt the loss of a well-known former Greenfield business man in the death of C. Arthur Holaday, 67, who passed away at 12:25 o'clock Monday afternoon, August 30 at the Adair County Memorial Hospital
Prior to retirement six years ago for reasons of health, Mr. Holaday was an electrical contractor and owned an operated an electrical appliance business on the west side of the square for twenty-five years.
Surviving are his wife the former Lela Dwigans; two daughters, Kathleen (Mrs. James Lesnar) of Worthington, Minnesota and Marianne Holaday of San Francisco, California, one son Richard of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren, one brother William of Massena, and four sisters: Mrs. Royce Bissell of Greenfield, Mrs. Robert Shaver of Cumberland, Mrs. F. M. Van Sickle, Fort Collins, Colorado, and Mrs. Earl Harris of Anita.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. John's Catholic church with Father E. J. Klein celebrating Requiem Mass at 10:30 o'clock. Burial was in the Greenfield Cemetery. Bickford-Murray Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
