Kenneth Brinkman Swain, Jr., age 67, of Wilmington, NC, died unexpectedly Friday, June 4, 2004, at home.
He was born in Raleigh, NC, on November 28, 1936, the son of the late Kenneth B. Swain, Sr. and Donnie Brinkley Swain.
Ken was affiliated with Pine State in Raleigh and Wilmington. He worked with Textilease Corporation for several years and retired from Greenbriar Rest Home. Kenneth gave special attention to seniors in the neighborhood and other friends during, his retirement years.
Surviving are his wife of forty-three years, Mary Del Willard Swain of the home; four children, Kenneth B Swain, III of Denver, CO, Jess Willard Swain and wife, Paula of Meadow, NC; Delphine Elizabeth Jenkins and husband Richard of Deltona, FL, and Annie Laurie Stonestreet and husband Mike of Wilmington, NC; a sister, Mary Ellen Riley and husband Jack of Tarboro, NC; eleven grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jean Willard of Wilmington, NC.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 7, 2004, at Oakdale Cemetery.
