Mr. Allen passed away peacefully Saturday at Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation Center, Waxahachie.

Max was born in Palmer, Texas to Charlie and Marjorie (Wagner) Allen.

He graduated from Boyce High School in 1937 and married Myrtle Faye Baker April 2, 1944.

Max served in the US Air Force during World War II as a gunner instructor at Laredo Air Force Base in Laredo, Texas.

He came back to Waxahachie where he was the owner/operator of Allen Grocery and used car lot and later owner/operator of Max Allen Buick until his retirement in the mid 1970's.

Max was a past member of the Waxahachie Optimist Club and a Charter Member (#9) of the Waxahachie Country Club.

He is survived by one son Charles Edwin Allen and his wife Melody of Center Point, Texas, 2 Grandchildren; Barbara Ebner and her husband Ross, Amy Boulanger and her husband Joseph, 4 Great Grandchildren; Ashton Ebner, Max Ebner, Zachary Ebner, and Joseph Boulanger.

Also surviving is one sister Betty Lois Wadsworth and her husband Raymond and a very close family friend Mary Ford.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Faye (January 6, 1986), 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 to 7 PM Monday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

The Celebration of Life will be Graveside 10 AM, Tuesday August 2nd, 2005 at Hillcrest Burial Park with Earnest O'Daniel officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
