Born April 22, 1940, in Hammond, she was the daughter of Bernard "Pete" and Lucille "Lu" Gasaway Alexander. Her hus-band, Paul L. Rayl, whom she married February 26, 1976, in Newport, survives.
Other survivors include six sons, Bradley T. Dalton and wife, Catrin of Petaluma, California, Brian C. Dalton of Indianapolis, Jeffrey L. Rayl of Greenfield, Patrick B. Rayl and wife, Alicia of Hereford, Arizona, Shawn B. Rayl and wife, Charleen of San Bruno, California and P. Andrew Rayl and wife, Melissa of Greenwood; one sister, Patricia Newlin of Portage; 15 grandchildren; three nephews; and one niece. She was preceded in death by her father in 1968; her mother in 2006; one brother, "Butch" Ber-nard Alexander in 2007; and her mother-in-law, Thelma T. Rayl at the age of 105 in December 2009.
A celebration of the life of Pug Rayl will be promptly at 7 p.m. Saturday, January 23 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th Street in Rochester with Father Frank Kilcline officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday,
in the funeral home. Memorials may be made in her name to Shop With A Cop, American Heart Association, Locks of Love or the charity of ones' choice.
