He joined his father's business, Pat's Lunch on Bank Street, and due to the urban renewal moved the business to State Street and renamed it Tony's.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church, a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the Moose.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Evelina Hall, whom he married April 19, 1974, three sons, two daughters, a stepson, a stepdaughter, a brother, a sister, seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and a step-greatgrandchild.
