Rites Held Tuesday For Mrs. Brown
Forestburg – Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Asseth Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Sadie Brown, with the Rev. Albert Peters officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery of Huron. Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 25, 1864, at Centralia, Iowa. In 1887 she married Walter P. Brown and to this union three children were born. She lived in Woonsocket for 35 years, and for 10 years, operated the Midwest Hotel there. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Hollandsworth, Van Nuys, Calif.; Mrs. James Turner, Kelso, Wash.; and a sister, Mrs. Thomas Hinde, Forestburg. A son, Kevin[sic, Kenneth], preceded her in death.

Rites at Huron for Mrs. Walter P. Brown
Funeral services for a former Woonsocket resident, Mrs. Walter P. Brown, 93, were held in Huron January 14, the Rev. Mr. Peterson of the Huron Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Huron.
Sadie Burrill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Burrill, was born in Centralia, Iowa October 25, 1864. She was married to Walter P. Brown in 1887. The Browns lived in Woonsocket for 35 years and operated the Midwest Hotel for 10 years. Mrs. Brown died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Naomi Hallandsworth[sic, Hollandsworth], at Van Nuys, Calif., January 10 as the result of a stroke.
Besides Mrs. Hollandsworth Mrs. Brown leaves another daughter, Mrs. James P. Turner of Kelso, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Hinde of Forestburg; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Her husband and one son preceded her in death.
