Ruth Louise McAlpine Henderson, of Houston, died April 9, 2002 at her residence after an illness. She had lived in Houston for 74 years, where she grew up in the Heights and attended Hamilton Junior High and Reagan High School. She married Lynn Henderson August 1, 1930 in Harris County and raised her children along with caring for others who needed a place to stay. She was the daughter of Henry Applewhite McAlpine and Lucille Alma Cullen.
