From the Galveston Daily News, dated 13 Mar 1912:

ERWIN - Gause, Tex., March 12 - Yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock Mrs. Bessie Erwin, wife of Tom Erwin, a bride of two weeks, died of meningitis. The funeral took place today. Deceased was the daughter of Captain and Mrs. J.T. Folmar of this city and was universally esteemed and admired.
