Actor. He was a principal performer who appeared on stage, in films and television programs form the 1930s to 1980s. He began his career in His Majesty's Theatre Melbourne, Australia, in 1934 and made his debut in the London Theatre in 1939. His first film appearance was as Joe Lawson in "The Way of the Stars" (1945), followed by "The Fool and the Princess" (1948) and he made his New York stage debut at the Guild Theatre in 1950. During the 1960s, he had his biggest success on television appearing in "Banacek", "The Twilight Zone", "Perry Mason", "Hawaii Five-O", "Battlestar Galactia" and many more. His other film credits included "The Bamboo Prison" (1954), "Sinpost to Murder" (1964), "Assault on a Queen" (1966), "Explosion" (1969) and "Twilight Zone: The Movie" (1985). He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, at age 72.
