Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Wagner, 76, of Route 1, Sheboygan, will be held at the Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church at Ada. The Rev. Lloyd Weber, pastor, will officiate. Committal rites will be conducted at the grave on the family lot in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wagner died Wednesday morning at her home in Howards Grove following a short illness. She was born Aug. 6, 1878, in Town Herman, a daughter of the late Jacob and Emma Spindler, attended rural schools, and was married to Jacob Wagner on April 26, 1900. After settling in Kiel for several years after their marriage, the couple purchased a farm in the town of Liberty (Manitowoc County) which they operated for 34 years. Since 1946, Mrs. Wagner had made her home at Howards Grove. She was a life-long member of Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church at Ada.
Survivors are four sons, Arthur, of Howards Grove, Arno and Edgar of town Schleswig and Arvin of Greenbush; seven grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. August Ebeling, Sheboygan, Mrs. William Bramstedt, Howards Grove, Mrs. Otto Arnhoelter, Town Herman, and Mrs. Fred Mauer, Kiel. Her husband died in 1934. An infant daughter and a sister, Mrs. Otto Steinhaus, also preceded her in death.
