ALVIN VOSS
Alvin G. Voss, 80, of 17024 Pigeon River road, Cleveland, died Thursday afternoon, October 23, 1986 at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past 11 days. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at Bethel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman. Rev. James Sizelove will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Voss was born June 19, 1906 in the Town of Meeme, son of the late Louis and Albertine Schwalenberg Voss. He attended Town of Meeme Schools. He married the former Melitta Maurer on June 28, 1930 at Newton Reform Church. Mr. Voss farmed in the Town of Meeme his entire life. His wife preceded him in death on March 30, 1986. Mr. Voss was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman, past member of the church consistory and past member of Pigeon River School Board.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Voss of the Town of Meeme and Larry Voss of New Brighton, Minnesota; a brother, Harvey Voss of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs.
Bertha Mahlich of rural Kiel and Mrs. Ida Roethel of Kiel and four grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by an infant son, an infant daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral home, Kiel, after 4 pm Sunday and Monday at the church from 9:30 am until the hour of service. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Voss's name.
