William Voss, Town Meeme, Dies Following Short Illness
William Voss, 70, life-long resident of the town of Meeme, passed away Monday at his home after an illness of about 3 weeks. He was born on the Voss homestead in the town of Meeme, on March 7, 1867, and on March 5, 1889 he was united in marriage with Miss Emma Schwalenberg, and the couple, after living for two years on the homestead, moved to the present residence.
Thirteen children were born to them, one of which died in infancy.
Survivors are the widow; five daughters, Mrs. Edward Dickmann, Mrs.Arthur Rietbrock of Sheboygan, Mrs. John Kaun and Mrs. Ernest Anderson of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Ray Schleh of Chilton; seven sons,William of the town of Meeme; Arvin, Herbert, Edgar and Henry, all of Milwaukee, and Arthur and Raymond at home; one brother, John of the town of Schleswig, and nineteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
