Phillip P. Stauss Dies At Home In Town Of Herman

Kiel --- Phillip P. Stauss, age 71, died at his farm home in the town of Herman this morning at 10:30 o'clock after a several days' illness.

The deceased was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Stauss and was born June 27, 1865, in the town of Rhine. He was married to Miss Ida Meyer of the town of Herman on January 16, 1903, and the couple located on the farm in the town of Herman, where they have always resided. Eight children were born to the union, two of whom preceded their father in death.

The survivors are the wife, one daughter, Mrs. Anna Wehrmann of Centerville; five sons, Henry of the town Herman, Walter of the town of Russell, and Jacob, Arthur and Alvin at home; three grandchildren; two brothers, Adam of Manitowoc; and George of the town of Rhine, and two sisters, Miss Greta Stauss of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Katherine Meyer of the town of Herman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the family residence, and at Bethel's Reformed church in the town of Herman. The Rev. William Bollmann will officiate and interment will be made in the church cemetery. They body may be viewed at the home from Wednesday afternoon until the time of the services on Thursday.
