WALTER SPINDLER

Walter Spindler, 73, of Ada, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at his home at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
He was born in the Town of Herman May 20, 1886, a son of the late John and Maria Spindler. He attended the district school at Ada and on Jan. 21, 1909, married Miss Louise Spindler at the Bethel Reformed Church in the Town of Herman.

The couple operated a farm in the Town of Schleswig for seven years and later operated Mr. Spindler’s parents’ homestead farm in the Town of Herman. In 1948 the couple retired and settled in Ada.

Mr. Spindler was a life member of the Bethel Church and served as deacon and elder of the church. The Spindlers observed their golden wedding anniversary in January.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Norman of Sheboygan, Elmer, Rt. 2, Kiel, and Arno and Lester, R. 1, Elkhart Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Nelda) Wehrmann and Mrs. Oscar (Roma) Mauser, both R. 1, Elkhart Lake; 16
grand-children; seven great-grandchildren, and a brother, Martin, of Sheboygan.

Four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at the Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Carl Fried, pastor, officiating.Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, until 11 a.m. Tuesday,
and at the church from noon until the time of services.
