LOUISA SPINDLER

Funeral services will be held Monday for Mrs. Louisa Spindler, 88, of Ada, who died in her home Thursday.
The Rev. Reinhard Ulrich, interim pastor, will officiate the 1:30 service in Bethel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, from 3 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday and at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Spindler’s name for Bethel UCC.

She was born May 20, 1888, in the Town of Herman, a daughter of Louis and Maria Stauss Spindler. She attended the district school at Ada.

She married Walter Spindler in Bethel UCC, Jan. 21, 1909. The couple farmed in the Town of Schleswig for seven years before moving to the Spindler home farm in the Town of Herman. In 1948 the couple moved to Ada.
Mrs. Spindler was an organist at Bethel UCC for many years, a life member of the church, its Ladies Aid Society and the church choir.
The couple observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1959. Mr. Spindler died Aug. 29, 1959.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Neida Wehrmann and Mrs. Oscar Maeuser, both of R.I. Elkhart Lake; four sons, Norman, Sheboygan, Elmer, R. 2, Kiel, Arno and Lester, both of R. 1, Elkart Lake, 19 grandchildren and 47 great-
grandchildren.

A granddaughter, two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
