Peter Schneider, aged 86, died at the home of his brother, Ferdinand, in the town of Meeme, Sunday evening following an illness of one day.
Mr. Schneider was born in Germany on July 21, 1849, and in 1854 he came to America with his parents, who settled in the town of Meeme. On June 23, 1878, he was united in marriage to Miss Christina Herzel and the couple resided on a farm in the town of Meeme until two years later when his wife and little child passed away. Mr. Schneider then sold his farm and for the past forty years has been making his home with his brother, Ferdinand on the Schneider homestead, in the town of Meeme.
Survivors are four brothers, Ferdinand, of the town of Meeme, John and Herman of Sheboygan and Henry of Ripplinger, Wis.
