A funeral services for the family and relatives will be held Thursday for Arthur Rietbrock, 83, of R. 1 Elkhart Lake, retired Town of Herman farmer, who died Tuesday. The Rev. Dean Miller, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, Herman, will officiate, and burial will be in the Bethel cemetery, town of Meeme.
Born on Dec. 18, 1887, on the Rietbrock farm in Herman, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Rietbrock. On March 20, 1911, he married the former Minnie Voss. The couple operated the Rietbrock home farm. Mrs. Rietbrock died in 1963. He continued to make his home at the farm with a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rietbrock. He was a life member of Bethel UCC.
Survivors include two sons, Norman and Reuben of R. 1, New Holstein; a daughter, Mrs. John (Gertrude) Konz of R. 1, Elkhart Lake; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. George Stauss of R. 1, Elkhart Lake, Mrs. Ralph Berner of Sheboygan and Mrs. Dale Negley of Columbus, Ohio. Two children, a grandchild, two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
