HUGO OLM

Hugo G. Olm, 76, of Rt. 1, Cleveland, a retired Town of Herman farmer, died
Sunday morning at home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel United Church of Christ,
Town of Herman. Dr. Reinahrt Ulrich, interim pastor, will officiate with
burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Olm was born Dec. 6, 1899, at Spring Corners, Town of Herman, son of the
late Gottfried and Johanna Strassburger Olm. He attended district school at
Ada. He married Esther Eickoff Nov. 5, 1925, at Bethel United Church of Christ.
They located on the Olm homestead farm, operating the farm until their retire-
ment in 1965. They continued to make their home on the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Olm
observed their golden wedding anniversary in October of 1975. He was a member
of Bethel United Church of Christ and former deacon of the church, former
member of Ada School Board and Meeme Farm Bureau and former director of Federal
Land Bank Assn.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, (private); a sister, Mrs. Ariel Achtermann,
of Lancaster, Pa., and two grandchildren. Five brothers and three sisters preceded
him in death.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, after 4 o’clock this Monday
afternoon until 11 a.m. Tuesday and at the church from noon until the time of
service. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
