Arno H. Neuhaus, 66, of 2407 Keenen Road, McFarland, Wis., died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1995 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison from complications of a car accident that occurred in the Madison area on July 24, 1995. He was born May 20, 1929 in Town Herman, Sheboygan County, a son of the late Albert and Alma Schroer Neuhaus. He attended district school in Ada and graduated from Kiel High School in 1948. He graduated from Mission House (Lakeland) College and seminary in 1955. He served churches in North Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa. He retired from Oscar Mayer in Madison in 1991 and enjoyed his hobby farm at McFarland. Irene Cyras and Arno Neuhaus were united in marriage at Bethel United Church of Christ in Ada on June 13, 1953.
Surviving are his wife, Irene; two sons, Daniel, McFarland and Timothy (Alice), Madison; two daughters, Gloria (Kurt) Breuer, Marinette and Karen, Madison; three grandchildren, Rebecca and Rachel Breuer and Trevor Neuhaus; two brothers, Harold (Dorothy), Chilton; Elmer (Virginia) Ada and two sisters, Helen (Reinhard) Ulrich and Marie (Charles) Schwinn, both of Howards Grove; one sister-in-law, Esther Neuhaus, Ada. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Armin and Roland and one sister, Esther.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 9, at 11 am at Good Shepherd by the Lake Lutheran Church in Stoughton, on Highway 51. Friends may call at the church for a time of visitation from 10 am until the time of services. Interment will be at Bethel United Church of Christ Cemetery in Town Herman. The Zimmer Funeral Home in Howards Grove is assisting the family with local arrangements.
