Anna E. Neuhaus, 88, formerly of Ada and Sheboygan, died Friday afternoon, June 3, 1994 at the Sheboygan Retirement Home where she had been resident the past seven years. She is the former Anna Huber born March 18, 1906 in Sherwood, Ohio, daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Neuhaus Huber. She attended Pigeon River School in the Town of Meeme. On Sept. 11, 1928, she married Oscar Neuhaus. He died on July 23, 1974. The couple farmed in the Town of Rhine until 1973 when they moved to Sheboygan. Anna enjoyed gardening, traveling and knitting. She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman; the Ladies Aid and was a member of the Church choir for many years.
Survivors include two brothers, Elmer Huber, Sheboygan; Martin Huber, Cleveland; three sisters, Hilda (Elmer) Kraemer and Martha (Frederick) Marx, all of rural Elkhart Lake; Selma (Warren) Terry, Sheboygan Falls; two sisters-in-law, Isabelle Huber, Chilton; Betty Huber, New Holstein and one brother-in-law, Frank Lowenbergh of Ohio. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 7 pm Monday at Bethel United church of Christ in the Town of Herman with the Rev. Melinda Feller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4 pm Monday until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established for Bethel United Church of Christ. Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel is handling the arrangements.
