OSCAR NEUHAUS
Oscar H. Neuhaus, 75, of 1314 n. 7th St., a former Town
of Rhine resident and insurance agent, died Tuesday at
his home.In January of 1931 he became director of the Town of Herman Fire and Tornado Insurance Co., presently known as the
Franklin Mutral Insurance Co. He served as treasurer of the firm for many years and was an agent for Franklin and also Heritage Mutual Insurance Co. until 1973 when he sold his agency.
Born March 24, 1899 in the Town of Rhine, he was a son of
the late William and Anna Spindler Neuhaus. He attended
district school.On Sept. 11, 1928 he married Anna Huber of the town of Meeme.
The couple settled on the homestead farm in Rhine.
He was a lifelong member of Bethel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman, and served two terms as an elder of the church.
Only immediate survivor is his widow. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
