JEANETTE L. HARTMAN

Jeanette L. Hartman, 74, of N9446 CTH MC, Elkhart Lake, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 15, 1998 at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan, after a lengthy illness.
She is the former Jeanette Doro, born Aug. 13, 1924 in Millersville, Wis., daughter of the late alter and Esther Riehn Doro.
She attended schools in Maple Corner and Rhine Center.
On Nov. 18, 1941 she married Leroy Hartman in St. Louis, Mo. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1991.
Jeanette worked for a number of years at Heritage Nursing Home, Sheboygan and farmed with her husband Leroy in the Town of Rhine all their lives.
She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ and the Ladies Aid. Jeanette enjoyed playing sheepshead in various card clubs, dancing, baking, cake decorating and flower arranging.
Survivors include her husband Leroy; two daughters, Sharon (Richard) Pieper, Howards Grove, and Sandra (James) Knier, rural Elkhart Lake; eight grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Jonathan, Jesse and Jeremy Pieper, Cary, Shelly and Travis Knier; and one brother, Wallace (Margaret) Doro, Sheboygan. She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Freida Hartman, Anita Hartman, Sally (Elmer) Hartman and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one infant son and one infant grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998 at Bethel UCC, Town of Herman with the Rev. Melinda Feller, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel, from 4-9 p.m. Friday and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial has been established in her name.
