Helen Eickhoff Sheboygan Press October 20, 1965

Mrs. Helen Eickhoff, 92, of R. 2, Kiel, Town of Schleswig, died Tuesday noon at Memorial Hospital where she was taken Monday morning. She was born April 2, 1873, in the Township of Mosel, daughter of the late Karl and Marie Eick, and married Fred Eickhoff Aug. 31, 1895. The couple moved to Millhome where he operated a blacksmith shop, then moved to a farm northeast of Millhome 60 years ago. They retired from farming in 1925. In August, 1945, the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Since her husband's death in 1948, Mrs. Eickhoff had made her home with her son,
Alve and daughter-in-law at the family farm now owned by her son. She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Town Herman, the Ladies Aid Society of the church and the Millhome Happy Hour Club.
Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Adelia) Schleunes, R. 2, Kiel and Mrs. Hugo D. (Esther) Olm, R. 1, Cleveland; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and four great great grandsons. A daughter, Gertrude, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday at Bethel United Church of Christ in Town Herman with the Rev. Carl Fried, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
