Mrs. Alfred H. Eckardt Sr., 65, of R. 1, Cleveland, died Friday evening at Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day.
A life-long resident of the Town of Meeme, the former Anna Scheib was born Nov. 24, 1904, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Scheib. She attended district school.
Since her marriage on Nov. 8, 1929, to Alfred Eckardt, the couple operated the Scheib homestead farm in the Town of Meeme. Mr. Eckardt died in July of 1968.
Mrs. Eckardt was a member of the Bethel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman.
Survivors include one son, Alfred R. Jr., Town of Meeme, and two grandchildren. Two sisters also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel United Church of Christ. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home at Kiel from 3 p.m. Monday to 11 a.m. Tuesday, and at the church after noon Tuesday.
