She was born Aug. 27, 1908 in the town of Herman, a daughter of the late Gustave and Helma (Oetling) Dexheimer.
Otto Beck and Viola Dexheimer were married Feb. 14, 1931 in Ada. The couple farmed in the town of Herman. Otto preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1983.
Viola was a life member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Ada, where she had been active with the Ladies Aid of the church. Homemaking was important to Viola and she always expressed her love to her family through her cooking talents.
Surviving Viola is a son, Frederick "Fritz" (Kaye) Beck of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Patrick (Cathy) Beck of Glendale, and Ann Marie Beck of Manchester, Mo.; two step-grandchildren, Shelly (Larry) Weidig of Sheboygan and Terry Beck of Sheboygan Falls; three great-grandchildren, Erika Krusemark, Mariah and Christian Beck; and one step-great-grandchild, Hope Beck. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
A funeral service will be conducted for Viola on Friday, Sept. 22, 2000 at 1 p.m. at Bethel United Church of Christ in Ada. The Rev. Melinda Feller, pastor of Bethel, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Zimmer Funeral Home, 117 N. Wisconsin Drive, Howards Grove, on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 3 to 7 p.m. and at the church, on Friday, from noon until the time of the service.
A memorial fund has been established to Bethel U.C.C. in the name of Viola A. Beck.
