Rosemary Upton, former resident of Springfield, Missouri was born May 21,1927, and died Auguat 19, 2001, in Juneau, Alaska while on a cruise vacation.
A member of Kappa Delta, she graduated from Drury College and spent the greater part of her life in Houston, Texas, retiring from Shell Oil Company in 1992.
Rosemary's parents, Eugene V. and Philomena Upton; step-mother Lucile Morris Upton; two brothers, Eugene, killed in World War II, and Joseph "J.B.", a prisoner of the Japanese for three and one-half years; were all longtime residents of Springfield and preceded her in death.
She is survived by three nephews, their wives and families; and a sister-in-law.
Interment is in Bolivar at the Upton family plot.
