Harold "Doc" Stevenson, 75, R.2, Springville, died Tuesday at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born in Springville, he was the son of Charles and Ethel (Hammond) Stevenson. He married Betty Houpt, November 3, 1944, and she survives.
He was a World War Marine Corps veteran and retired in 1982 as an offset Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane. He was a member of Avoca Baptist Church, Solsberry Masonic Lodge 411 F & AM, Hacker Chapter 34 York Rite of Bedford and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Oolitic.
Surviving with the wife are one son, David Stevenson of Springville; one sister; Norma Vollet of Cloverdale.
He was preceded in death by two children in infancy; his parents, three sisters, Gertude Mullis, Melvina Stevenson, and Leon Graves, and six brothers; Olin Hammond, William Stevenson, John Stevenson and three in infancy.
Services will be Friday at Day & Carter Mortuary and burial will be in Lowder Cemetery.
