Mrs. A. E. McLean, a long time resident of Markville, passed away at Frederic, Wisconsin, Sunday, December 6. She was the wife of Rev. A. E. McLean and was 86 years, 7 months and 8 days of age. She suffered a stroke a week before her passing and was hospitalized at the Frederic, Wisconsin hospital.

Zora May Hayden was born at Champlin, MN April 28, 1884. Her childhood was spent in and near Anoka. In 1902 she was united in marriage to George Grevious at Stillwater. Two children, a boy and a girl were born to them. They lived for a time at Clam Falls, Wisconsin and then in the Bluff Lake Community near Danbury, Wisconsin and came to Markville June 1, 1914.

On September 7, 1929 she was united in marriage to Rev. Alexander E. McLean at Duluth, and lived in Markville until the time of her death. She was one of the charter members of Markville Presbyterian Church and for many years its Treasurer,

She is survived by her husband Rev. Alexander McLean and daughter Iome Grevious of Markville; a sister Lois Hayden of Frederic, Wisconsin; three brothers, Leon Hayden of Fairview, Montana, Max Hayden of Frederic, Wisconsin; and Dwight Hayden of Minneapolis; two grandsons, and two great grandchildren; her nephew Rodney Barge, whom she raised, and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, her son Allen Grevious, her sister Mrs. William Barge, and two brothers Bayard and Clair Hayden.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10th at the Markville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Richard Deursen officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Monson sang with Mrs. Paul Babcock at the organ. Casket bearers were; Melvin Monson, Maynerd Monson, Harold Monson, Kevin Monson, Donald Olson and Rudolf Kelch.

Interment was at the Markville Cemetery. The Swedberg Funeral Home at Webster in charge of arrangements.
