Funeral services for Henry H. Youngberg, 52, of Askov, were held October 3, Saturday, at the Presbyterian Church in Askov at 2 p.m. with Rev. Newton Sundeen officiating. Fred Peterson was the soloist accompanied by Mrs. Arthur H. Larson. Casket bearers were: Chris Christensen, Gale Pletcher, Robert Sostak, William Loew, Roy Birkholm and Hans Nielsen. Burial was made in the Faith Lutheran Cemetery at Denham with the Askov American Legion Post officiating in military rites at the graveside.

Henry H. Youngberg was born at Willow River on April 15, 1918, the son of Richard and Agnes Youngberg. He passed away at the Pine County Memorial Hospital at Sandstone on September 30. He was married to Evangeline Marie Fleek on May 6, 1941 at Willow River. The couple had made their home in the Askov community since 1947. Mr. Youngberg was a veteran of World War II serving overseas with the U.S. Army. Besides farming, Mr. Youngberg worked seasonally for Henriksen, Inc. at Askov and on various construction jobs in the territory.

He is survived by his wife, Evangeline Marie, and one daughter, Mrs. Donna Marie Wentworth of Minneapolis, and by five sons, Ronald and Richard of Minneapolis, Raymond of Askov, Raynard of Bruno and Ralph with the US Navy at Pensacola, Florida. One daughter, Judith Jane, preceded him in death in 1941. He is also survived by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. R. Charles Youngberg of Willow River and two brothers, Leonard of Willow River and Orville of Sturgeon Lake, and by four sisters, Mrs. Bernice Lindorf of Duluth, Mrs. Rose Jones of Minneapolis, Mrs. Gertrude Novak of St. Paul and Mrs. Irene Olson of Kettle River. Also surviving are four grandchildren.
