Mrs. Ellen Eichel 1931 Bridgewater Bulletin

The death of Mrs. Ellen Eichel, Pine Grove, occurred on Monday, May 25th, 1931, after a long and painful illness which she bore with great patience and fortitude, and although she only resided the last few remaining years of her life in Pine Grove, she made many warm acquaintances, and her lovely personality will be miss by a wide circle of friends. Her husband, the late Albert Eichel of Maitland, predeceased her twenty-seven years ago. Mrs. Eichel was 69 years of age and a faithful member of the Church of England. She leaves to mourn her departure, three daughters, Florence (Mrs. Wallace Wagner), of this place, and with whom she resided at the time of her death; also, Carrie of Boston, Mass.; and Maud (Mrs. Arkanas Dauphinee), of Lower Northfield. One sister, Mrs. Joshua Eichel, of Pine Grove, and three brothers also survive, Lemuel, Emanuel, and Josiah. Interment took place on Wednesday at Maitland, the services at the house and church being conducted by the Rev. G.W. Bullock, of Bridgewater, who illustrated the words comfortingly:"I would not have you ignorant, bretheren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope," to the bereaved relatives and large gathering of friends.

With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
