Charlotte McKinney was a beloved mother, gammy, sister, aunt and friend. She embraced life and was grateful for each day God blessed her with. Born September 26, 1946 and passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 surrounded by family, friends and clergy in her home in Wortham.

Many flowers and cards came last weekend after the article in the Mexia newspaper expressing she wanted "flowers while she was living". Thank you to all that responded with those as well as visits, food, prayers and kind thoughts. Her family will always cherish the outpouring of love the community shared.

Though her illness was long and sometimes painful, Charlotte would want all to know that she was, most of all, blessed. "Those that don't know how wonderful God is and how much He loves us, are missing so much."

The family request that memorials in Charlotte's name be made to the New Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Wortham, Texas.
