Called to Hugo
By Sister's Death

Mr. and Mrs. Fay L. Crossett returned last night from Hugo, Okla., where they attended the funeral of the former's sister, Mrs. W. E. Schooler, aged 47, who died of blood poisoning Monday night in a hospital at Paris, Texas.

Mrs. Schooler was apparently in good health last week when an infection set up in a gland of the jaw which caused very severe pain. To relieve the pain tow teeth were removed Saturday morning, this causing the poison from the infected gland to go through her system, resulting in her death.

Mrs. Schooler was born in Greenville, Texas, Feb. 18, 1882. She lived in Davis from 1898 until 1902 and was known by friends here as Annie Crossett. She had lived in Hugo for more than 20 years where she was actively engaged with her husband in publishing the Hugo Daily News. She is survived by her husband, one son, R. E. Schooler, publisher of the Democrat at Idabel; three brothers and six sisters. Burial was in Hugo cemetery at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
