Mrs. Mary Dell Sidbury Skipper, 78, of Rt. 1, Wilmington (Scotts Hill), died Friday, June 1, 1990, in the Pender Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Skipper was born June 6, 1911, in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Newton and Mary Dell Canady Sidbury. She was a member of Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Women, The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Cape Fear Chapter #3 and had retired in 1972 as the secretary to the principal at New Hanover High School.
Surviving Mrs. Skipper are her husband, Nathan Richard Skipper of the home; two sons; Nathan Richard Skipper, Jr. of Birmingham, Mich.; and David Newton Skipper of Pottstown, Pa; one daughter, Mrs. Rowena Skipper Gyorke of Wakesfield, Va; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services iwll be held Monday, June 4, 1990, at the Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. by the Rev. David Goehring assisted by the Rev. Ben Musser. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
