Services for Mrs. Arthur H. (Kittie Mae) Enstrom, who died Monday at the Medicenter in Grand Junction following an extended illness, were conducted by the Rev Ernest Smith Thursday at 2 pm from the Nucla Congregational Church of which she was a member. Interment in the Nucla Cemetary was directed by Kinsey's Montrose Funeral Home.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Nucla Congregational Church.
Kittie Mae King was born April 7, 1903, at Houston, Mo., to William L. and Lydia (Covert) King, and spent her early life in that community. She was a graduate of Drury College in Springfield, Mo., where she received her training for the teaching profession.
After moving to Colorado in 1925, she taught at Montrose for one year, then the following year located at Nucla where she taught until beginning as a case worker for the Montrose County Welfare Department.
On June 30, 1928, she was married at Houston, Mo., to Arthur H. Enstrom, who died in December 1962. Surviving are one son, Herbert Enstrom, and a daughter, Mrs. Donald J. (Marianna) Rice, both of Nucla; six grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Anna King Davis, Mount Ida, Ark.
