Fred Trask died on Friday (8/2/1946) afternoon at home.

He was born on Nov. 4, 1861 in Buckton, the last of 12 children of John R. and Peninah Beedy Trask.

He married Miss Hattie May Kimpton of Ft. Jackson on Jan. 22, 1891 in Fairfax, Iowa. He was employed in Joliet, Illinois, at that time.

A year later the couple returned to the East, where he operated the Fort Jackson milk factory for a number of years. In 1901, they moved to Hopkinton, where they have since resided and where he operated a butter plant until 1913. In that year he sold the business and bought a small farm east of Hopkinton, which he operated until his health failed.

Surviving was his wife; a son, Wallace Leroy Trask of Springfield, MA and Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Leach of Hopkinton and eight grandchildren, Clifford, Robert and Rose Trask of Springfield, MA; John, Ellen, Roline, Frederick, and Elizabeth Leach, and one great-grandchild, all of Hopkinton.
