Burley Mae Keeton Holybee
Ardmore — Wayne Holybee, 78, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Ardmore, Okla. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 28, 2011, at Griffin~Hillcrest Chapel, Ardmore with Pastor Donnie Collins and Pastor Michael Carraway officiating. Internment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.
Wayne was born March 21, 1933, in Ardmore, Okla., to Buster Holybee and Alice (Glass) Holybee.
He married Burley Mae Keeton July 17, 1954, in Ardmore, Okla.
Wayne attended Ardmore schools as a child. He was employed by the City of Ardmore for 33 years. He enjoyed watching baseball and collecting knives. As a father, he enjoyed coaching his son in little league baseball. Wayne was a member of the Abundant Life Church. He spent many years as a church board member and was faithful to church, second only to his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Burley Mae; and two brothers, Cleo Holybee and Harvey Holybee
Wayne is survived by son, David Holybee; daughter, Denise Holybee; granddaughters, Amie Holybee, Alyssa Holybee; great-grandsons, Colin Holybee and Cooper Holybee; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Holybee; sister, Charlene Stewart; and special friend, Missy all of Ardmore. Wayne also leaves many nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Robby Skinner, Charles Holybee, Harold Willingham, Buster Holybee, Shane Holybee and Josh Holybee.
