Shirley R. Eidle, 72, died March 25, 2011, in her Kutztown residence. She was the wife of Malcolm A. Eidle.
She was born in Reading, a daughter of the late Earl and Helen(Brosey) DeLong.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. She is a 1956 graduate of Reading High School. She was employed as a secretary at Travelers Insurance.
She is also survived by a daughter, Kathryn, wife of Neil Widdows, Blandon; two sons, Douglas A., and his wife, Robin, Decatur, Ga., and Michael E., Philadelphia; three grandchildren: Julianna, Kira and Ira; two step-grandchildren, Naomi and Gabrielle Widdows; and a sister, Phyllis, wife of L. Steigerwald, Mount Penn.
She was predeceased by a brother, Harold DeLong,and two sisters, Betty DeLong and Barbara Hoffman, wife of Richard.
Private graveside service at Pleasant View Cemetery.
