Mildred Irene Locken was born on April 28, 1911 in Inez, Minnesota where she attended school. She was the eldest of six children born to Charlie and Lillian Gunderson and grew up on the Perry Creek Farm where, in addition to farming, the family operated a sawmill and the Inez Post Office.
On October 1932 she married Rudy Locken in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Together they operated the family farm and raised three daughters on the Locken homestead in the Firman community, Beltrami County, Minnesota.
Mildred is survived by three daughters, three brothers one sister, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother,Marvin.
