Sylvester Robinson, s. of Benjamin Robinson, 3rd and Sally Haines, b. Aug. 6, 1827 in Brownington, VT. He died Sept 3, 1862 in New York while serving during the American Civil War with Co. K, 3rd Regt. of the Vermont Volunteers of the Union Army.
On an unrecorded date after June 1, 1850, Sylvester m. his near neighbor, Maria H. Streeter, dau. of Hiram Streeter and Hannah Farr, b. Mar. 8, 1830. She d. Nov. 13, 1876 at Brownington, VT. They had three recorded children b. at Brownington:
• i. Marcella Robinson, b. Dec. 20, 1851, d. Oct. 8, 1924 at St. Johnsbury, VT; m. Nov. 26, 1874 at Brownington, Thomas F. Marshall, s. of John Marshall and Rachel Heath, b. Mar. 1, 1851 at Brownington. He d. May 16, 1917 at St. Johnsbury. Three known children of the marriage.
• ii. Manfred E. Robinson, b. circa July 1853, d. in youth at Brownington Mar. 8, 1864.
• iii. Laura Winfred Robinson, b. Apr. 30, 1860, d. Dec. 11, 1912 at Brownington (g.s.); m. July 7, 1884 at Brownington, Edgar O. Smith, s. of Emilous (q.v.) and Betsey Smith, b. Apr. 9, 1856 at Wilmot, NH. He d. Apr. 20, 1914 at Wheelock, VT. Two known children of the marriage.
